Cover for the single album Niflheim by Munknörr and it's music videoclip. For this cover I was asked to do something different, a bit minimalist and dark. I will be uploading more material for the music video clip, which was also a different and demanding proposal.
In norse Mythology, Niflheim is a cold and dark world, covered in perpetual fog. This dark folk fantasy journey is a parallelism between someone stuck in Niflheim and someone trapped in the darkness of depression. A cycle that can only end from within, with the power of will.
Regarding the music video scenes...
The different locations and their color tones connote the different stages of the character and how they connect with each other through the story and creative scene transitions:
· The dominating dark limbo of Niflheim as a theatre of his soul;
· The misty forest as the slumber where he wanders... where the runic sword waits to be claimed -the symbol of will, the tool to face the dragon-;
· The twilight of realms as the grip of the past, where Nidhogg devours the roots of life.
